Enter obituary information here. Margaret Canteen, 97, of Brackenridge, died Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, at Platinum Ridge Rehabilitation Center, Brackenridge. She was the widow of her first husband, Walter Manley, and her second husband, Archie Canteen. She was born Nov. 23, 1918, in Hampton, Ga., a daughter of the late William Adams and the late Clara (Johnson) Adams. She was a homemaker who had worked cleaning homes, and resided in this vicinity for most of her life. A member of Shiloh Baptist Church, Brackenridge, and the neighborhood association, she also enjoyed gardening. Survivors include a niece, Gail Barnes, of Indianapolis, Ind. In addition to her parents and her husbands, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Annie Gaston and Eula Collier; and two brothers, Oscar Adams and William Adams. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2016, at KRYNICKI FUNERAL HOME INC., 1007 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2016, at Shiloh Baptist Church, Brackenridge, with the Rev. Edward Carter, her pastor. Interment at Mt. Airy Cemetery, Harrison Township.
